An Interview with Mark Roberge, CEO of PawSpot.com
In early September, I plan to launch a new site which will be known as ZBIZ.TV. It will be comprised of a series of interviews with entrepreneurs in the earliest phases of launching their new business. Essentially, the interviews will be “oral executive summaries”. Consider this a sneak preview…
Today’s interview with Mark Roberge covers his launch and planned future for PawSpot.com, a social networking site for pet owners. I have become skeptical of most of the social networks springing out of the woodwork over the past year or so, but this one seems to be extremely well thought out with a solid management team in place.
The interview runs a full 28 minutes, so I apologize in advance if you have a hard time with lengthy videos online. But I think you’ll find Mark’s story compelling and quite interesting.
Is there a way to download this to my local desktop so I can view it without connection to internet?
I sent you the original QuickTime file from which the Google video (the one that appears on the site) is derived. Hopefully it will work just fine for you if you have the QuickTime player on your system.
Hope it’s helpful and interesting for you…
Andy
Oops! I spoke too soon. My mail system wouldn’t let a file that large get through.
I uploaded the file to http://bourland.com/downloads/ where you will find the file: pawspot.mov.
You need a QuickTime player installed to run it, so if you don’t, go to http://www.quicktime.com
Take care,
Andy
This is a great interview. Mark knows his stuff and he’s pullint together a great team to execute.
Great idea - would be helpful if the video is in a separate window so we can continue to read the site without interrupting the stream. I like listening more than watching the person, so a pop-up would be helpful.
Like the video “blog” of online folks - much more interesting!
I happen to be working on a solution to that as we speak. I ran into a couple of frustrating technical glitches while doing so, so I’m taking a break from it… but I should be able to tell you something about that fairly soon…
Thanks,
Andy
