Building a Blog Cluster

My former colleague from my Andover.net days, Adam Green, now operates a terrific blog called Darwinian Web (a site that appeals to my inner wannabe geek), which I read regularly. Today, he posted an item about how to build your audience, how to keep posting regularly, how to create a cluster of web sites referring to you.

Well worth reading if you, like me, still have an audience of 5 (Hi Mom!) and haven’t really branched out beyond being a z-lister. Following Adam’s advice will be a good guideline for you to follow. I plan to print it out and keep it near me over the coming months.

The toughest thing about being a blogger is not getting feedback. When you post something you think is really special and get a resounding thud of silence in return, it makes it difficult to go back the next day.

On the other hand, a kind note, a comment, even a criticism reminds you that there are people reading your blog, and you might actually be saying something that matters….
